Testimonials
"As home to the first-of-its-kind disabilities studies PhD program in the world, the UIC College of Applied Health Sciences believed Kristina Ripatti-Pearce & Tim Pearce would be ideal keynote speakers for our 30th anniversary celebration, they did not disappoint!
The duo engaged our student audience of kinesiology, health information sciences, occupational and physical therapy majors in an hour-long conversation that spoke directly to the impact of the work these future professionals would have in the rehabilitative process for others. Likewise, the presentation to our alumni evoked powerful emotions as Kristina and Tim shared what it means to have your life changed in a split second. Moreover, their apparent bond of love underscored both presentations. Their inspirational story and experience resonates with courage, hope, and love."

"'Service with Fortitude' was the theme for the 4th annual Women Leaders in Law Enforcement Conference. This years’ conference was held in beautiful San Mateo County and boasted an attendance of more than 500 law enforcement professionals from throughout California.
Conference committee members were honored that Kristina Rapatti-Pearce and Tim Pearce agreed, without hesitation, to be our final keynote speakers. The two made us laugh, cry, and vow to never give up as they told of the journey toward their 'new normal.' Kristina and Tim inspired all who heard their story of courage, resilience, and commitment to duty to dig down deep for that little something extra when faced with a life-changing situation that unfolds in only seconds. The two provided a poignant reminder of just how precious life, family, and love are. The 'do what you love' phrase definitely describes this exceptional couple."

The Medical Fitness Association (MFA) was honored to host keynote speaker, Kristina Ripatti, a 10-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department at the 14th Annual MFA Conference held in December 2008 in San Antonio, Texas. Ripatti, who relies on an aggressive physical activity training regimen, gave an inspiring speech about her journey and the importance of medical fitness on her road to recovery. Conference attendees were amazed at the strength and hope that Kristina displayed. Her delivery to the audience was factual but at the same time incredibly moving. Tim Pearce, Kristina’s husband, joined her in the presentation and provided additional insight into the challenges faced during her recovery and the role he was able to play in helping her achieve her goals. Ripatti took time to attend the MFA Welcome Reception where she signed posters and met with MFA conference attendees from all over the United States and from all industry segments who explored topics such as facility certification, disease management, program planning and executive leadership.

I had the privilege of working with Kristina Ripatti and her husband Tim in the fall of 2009 while hosting our annual Tahoe Forest Health System’s Women’s Wellness event.
I couldn’t have chosen a better keynote speaker, nor a better “closing” to our overall event. Both Kristina and Tim completely engaged the audience with their story and were an inspiration to all. “No Regrets” is their motto and they inspire all to take charge of their lives, live healthy, be active and make the most of each day.
They are an amazing team and fantastic speakers whom I’d highly recommend to any size group. Not only did they make our event, I feel as if I made two new friends in the process and for that I am very grateful as well.
