Operation Progress

Operation Progress (OP) is a non-profit foundation established by LAPD Southeast Division Gang officers 10 years ago to help good kids get out of bad places. OP wants to reward students who have stayed out of gangs while living in gang-infested, disadvantaged neighborhoods. OP gives students the opportunity to attend college where they lack the resources. Operation Progress provides chosen students with mentoring, support, and educational scholarships.

As a police officer working South Central LA, I was able to see first hand the struggle the kids have to endure to live life everyday. I am motivated by these kids, who despite the odds, work hard and dedicate themselves to improving their lives and the lives of those around them. I got involved with OP, so I could do my part to help these kids get out of bad situations by providing them an education. Meet these kids and learn more about OP, visit the Operation Progress website at www.operationprogress.org
